Shrewsbury Estate Sale

"Enough is enough", yes, that is a direct quote from the homeowner's of our Shrewsbury sale on Saturday, August 2nd. They've had it with the New England weather and are moving lock, stock and barrel to a much warmer climate. They're taking the kids and the dog and leaving the rest behind which means more great finds & deals for our PES Shoppers.

The home is a newer Colonial in a very nice neighborhood and it is full of furniture, electronics, exercise and sports equipment, lawn & garden items, kid's and adult bikes, kitchen items, tons of plants, patio furniture and even a shed for sale. A lot!

On the furniture side of the ledger, if there's a room, it has furniture. On the main level a country style dining room is a nice touch, featuring a rectangular oak dining table and chair set, elegant, light and airy, it is complemented by a shaker style bow back Deacon's Bench and an incredibly elegant country pine hutch/sideboard in golden tones. In the hutch is a collection of Royal Doulton "Josephine" china. All this is tied together by a beautiful leaf and vine motif rug in red's blue's & green's found under the dining set.

The semiformal living room is more casual than formal with a very nice floral print sofa, accented by two comfortable & cozy wingback side chairs, and a stone top and iron coffee table. This space is rounded out with a collection of plants, side accent tables and iron decorative wall hangings.

This space flows ever so easily into the modern day control center of the home - the family room. Here PES shoppers will find a leather suite consisting of a rich brown sofa and loveseat combo, there is also a leather and wood contemporary recliner, which is as elegant to look at, as it is to sit in, truly comfort and great design exemplified. Also within this space is the actual control center - a home entertainment center complete with surround sound receiver, speakers & subwoofer, Sony DVD player and a large screen HDTV, just ready to plug and play, CD's, DVD's, games & other media are also here, so sit down and relax. The room also contains some great decorative pieces - a golden oak, carved leg side table, framed prints, an elegant scrolled wood mantle clock, and fashionable window treatments (all for sale throughout the home).

As the open and airy floor plan of the 1st level continues to reveal itself, our next stop is the kitchen and casual dining area. The kitchen has all anyone would ever need to set up housekeeping, cookware, dishes, bowls, cups, glassware, flatware, as well as a stainless toaster and a toaster oven - twice as much toast, twice as fast! An extensive cookbook collection, George Foreman grill and a desktop computer round out the great items for sale here. The casual dining area is center-pieced by a pub style table and chair set. This simple room also abounds with a virtual home garden of potted plants, all available for sale. Just off this space is the deck where there is a Weber gas grill and glass-topped patio set awaiting a new home.

Upstairs are four bedrooms, a Master Suite and three kid's bedrooms. The Master features a lovely cherry bedroom set consisting of a highboy dresser, a low dresser and mirror combo and side table. A lovely pine pedestaled dressing mirror sets of one corner of the room, One boy's bedroom has a trundle bed, wood dressers, side and night tables, as well as some great decorative items. Boy's bedroom # 2 features a golden oak twin bed, dresser, side and night tables as well. The third bedroom features a metal bunk bed with full-size bottom and twin top sleeping quarters. Also at this level are linens and bedding, kid's toys and other kid items.

We haven't forgotten the last few areas of the home. The finished basement contains a kid's play area with a futon, television, and it is chock-full of toys and games, a home exercise area featuring an elliptical, treadmill, small weights and an incline bench is also within this space. Additional items in this space include camping gear, an electric guitar and amp, a 1950's era Console Hi-FI system, sports equipment, shelving units and decorative prints.

In the garage is where most of the sports equipment is found men's, women's & kid's bikes, lacrosse equipment, hockey equipment, more camping/outdoor items, lawn & garden tools, hand tools, a punching bag, a fire pit, even a rocket (well, a model rocket!) We're almost done, outside is a storage shed that is for sale and it contains more sports equipment, more garden & lawn equipment, a wheelbarrow and a Honda lawn mower. Lastly, a portable basketball hoop & stand and a children's wooden swing set are also part of this "Where Outta Here, Everything Must Go" sale The PES Crew, as we always do, looks forward to getting this great sale ready for all of loyal & new PES Shoppers.
