Salem Estate Sale

Saturday, April 12th, 2014, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 39 Wisteria Road, Salem, MA.

This charming circa 1900 center-entrance Salem home is the next great estate sale stop for Precision Estate Sales. Set in this lovely 4 BR home located close by Salem State College, featuring hardwood floors, elegant staircase, built-ins, pocket doors, lead glass windows and beautiful fireplaces in the formal dining & living room, this classic home is a lovely setting to display all the fantastic items and finds available offered for sale.

Once you enter the home PES shoppers will find many desirable items to choose from. In the front hall is a paisley print runner and just below the sweeping staircase we feature an antique pendulum clock and a classic pine pub-style bench with storage. The formal dining room features a colonial style pine hutch, a pine plank dining table golden-red finish with ladder back chairs, a great maple Thomasville buffet/sideboard and a rock maple corner table with center drawer (1 of 2 throughout the house), also in sight is a tasteful floral motif drop-top side table. Another great find in the dining room, is a vintage bamboo style corner chair in wood with a rush seat applique seat cushion.

Items in the family room include a maple corner cabinet, a classic spindle leg side table with center drawer, painted petite pie crust table, Tiffany style floor lamp, a dough box side table (2 available), a golden oak oval coffee table, a Nichols & Stone Black Rocker, a painted round tri-leg side table, another Tiffany style lamp, all capped off by an incredible red, blue and tan oriental style rug.

The kitchen features a colonial style dry sink an incredible handcrafted round pine table with a pedestal base along with four painted Hitchcock and a painted ladder back side chair. Also on the first level is an enclosed sun room that features a 4 piece white wrought iron patio set with cushions, as well as a white wicker arm chair and round white wicker side table.

As shoppers take the sweeping staircase to the 2nd level, at the landing they will find a pair of gilt cherubs, a ceramic angel and a vintage floral pitcher. A couple of more steps up the staircase finds a grouping of a dozen plus framed vintage La Mode Illustree prints.

The 2nd floor sitting room features the second of the rock maple corner tables w/center drawer, an antique bow back chair, very comfortable easy chair, white wicker arm chair and the second of the maple dough box tables, a white spindle leg table with drawer, along with a great floral motif rug.

Bedroom sets are available including a set of spindle style twin beds form the 1960's with a maple dresser, a great queen-size four post maple bed, as well as a four piece maple bedroom set of dresser, tallboy dresser, mirror and night table.

Even more signature items are to be found include a spinning wheel, a vintage yarn winder, an extra-large vintage basketed wine bottle, Currier and Ives prints, blue wicker rocker and side table, a kneehole desk, two antique children's school desks, a Keystone 16mm vintage film projector with reels of film. A 1940's era General Electric Icebox (needs restoration). The finds keep coming - two antique genuine milk cans, one from Hood and a vintage ceramic clown cookie jar.

What else is there...? Everything! - Throughout the home there many decorative pieces - glassware, plates, vases, mirrors, silhouettes, small gilt-framed pictures and prints, copperware, vintage barware, teapots, tea cups and saucers (sets and one of a kind). As always there are rugs, some small, some large available, plenty of linens, women's clothing and accessories. The kitchen, as always features plenty of glassware, kitchen accessories, etc. There are also two vintage hand operated coffee grinders, a classic juicer and a pair of antique shoe lasts.

As are all PES sales it's shaping up to be a great one. PES Staff is ready to go and we look forward to seeing our regular customers, as well as welcoming those joining us for the first time.
